Elisa Amiot's story began in 1884. After her husband Armand Amiot died, the young widow decided to take the destiny of the business into her own hands and founded "Maison Veuve Amiot" on April 10th, 1884.

The dynamic woman set herself a goal that measured up to her high standards: the production and distribution of an exclusive Saumur wine appreciated for its quality the world over.

With the support of her family she very quickly succeeded in making Maison Veuve Amiot famous far beyond the limits of the region: from the Far East to Ecuador, from Madagascar to New Zealand.

Even today wine lovers across the world praise "Maison Veuve Amiot" for its floral and full-bodied sparkling wines.
