Sektkellerei Schloss Wachenheim AG expands sales and annual net profit

Frankfurt, October 6, 2005. The Schloss Wachenheim Group closed out the 2004/05 business year /July 1, 2004 through June 30, 2005) with a roughly 32 percent gain in normal business results to approximately 13.4 mil. Euros (previous year 10.2 mil. Euros). Annual net profits expanded by some 43 percent to about 8.7 mil. Euros (previous year: 5.7). Those 8.2 mil. Euros include allowance for 700,000 Euros expended for the initial public offering of Ambra, the Group's Polish subsidiary. The relevant positive effects for the Group's net-worth position and earnings base will only become apparent in the course of the new business year (July 1, 2005 through June 30, 2006), because the IPO was not entered in the commercial register until July 7, 2005.

Group revenues increased by about 5 percent to 335.0 mil. Euros (previous year: 320.1), despite adjustment for the Group's having disposed of its vodka business in Poland, which had a volume of around 50 mil. Euros.
